A company called Boston Dynamics is developing a robot “Alpha Dog” for the military. It’s supposed to be used as a pack animal for the infantry, so it might better be called a robot burro.
It’s also known as the LS3, or Legged Squad Support System. Whatever they call it, it’s kind of creepy.
Whereof One Can Speak 🇺🇦 
They seem to lack stealth; early goings, I guess. Do they mate? They’re not really cute, are they? The head could be more pronounced; and where’s the tail?
And they have spider legs! I read somewhere that people who design robots avoid making them too life-like because life-like robots can be disturbing. Maybe the idea here is to make them creepy so they’ll freak out the enemy.
